Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has concluded his official visit to Singapore. In the course of his visit, the minister met with Singapore's Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr. Tan See Leng with whom he discussed unique investment opportunities in the Kingdom. He held meetings with heads of several companies, including with the DHL Asia Pacific Innovation Center, tackling potential collaboration in logistic services, with Singapore Technologies Engineering to discuss investment opportunities in targeted industrial sectors, and with JTC Corporation on developing industrial zones and infrastructure in the Kingdom. The minister participated in a business roundtable organized by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation, the largest organization representing the interests of the manufacturing industries in Singapore, where he stressed the Kingdom's shift from reliance on expatriate labor to automation and investment in human resources. Alkhorayef expre ssed the ministry's interest in collaborating with the federation's academy to offer training courses to workers in the industrial sector. He also visited the Port of Singapore, where he was informed about this pioneering experience in automation, advanced technologies, and smart manufacturing solutions. In his meeting with the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research CEO Frederick Chew, Alkhorayef discussed boosting cooperation with the agency, which is ranked as one of the most innovative government organizations in the world in the fields of science and technology.
