IMCTC and UK Forge Agreement to Combat Terrorism and Extremism

Riyadh: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) on Wednesday signed a memorandum with the United Kingdom (UK) government to strengthen their cooperation on combating terrorism and extremism. Under the agreement, signed at the coalition headquarters, cooperation focuses on four key domains: ideological, media, countering terrorist financing, and military.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the IMCTC secretary-general said the memorandum seeks to enhance strategic partnership and integration between the coalition and the UK government, fostering closer coordination and joint efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism. The agreement reflects the IMCTC commitment to expanding its partnerships with all countries in support of security, stability, and the shared objectives of its member states in the face of terrorism and extremist thought, he added.

The UK is among the IMCTC’s supporting nations, alongside the United States and France.
