His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Board of Directors, led by Chairman Samir Abdullah Nas, who submitted to him a letter on certain economic issues and issues related to companies and the business community.
HRH the Premier stressed the need to keep abreast of global economic changes by exerting more efforts to boost the national economy and increase its capability to deal with various challenges. He also called to further promote investments to invigorate the commercial and industrial sectors, foster growth and enhance the kingdom's competitiveness.
HRH the Prime Minister underlined the government's keenness on improving the investment climate by upgrading legislation. He also stressed keenness to meet with representatives of the commercial sector and listen to their views to develop the commercial sector in Bahrain. He reiterated support to BCCI Board of Directors in their efforts to develop the trade sector, stressing the need to boost partnership between the government and the private sector.
HRH the Premier underscored the key role of BCCI in the kingdom's development march and in serving the national economy. He also affirmed the need for concerted efforts by the public and private sectors to fast-track development, emphasising the government's support to the private sector to maximize national achievements.
BCCI Board Chairman Samir Abdullah Nas expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his keenness to support the chamber's efforts to develop the commercial sector. He also lauded HRH the Premier's remarkable role in the kingdom's development, praising his keenness to maintain communication with BCCI to fast-track development and bolster competitiveness of Bahrain's investment climate.
