Taif, Governor of Taif Prince Saud bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz received today a report on the work of the Taif Health Cluster in serving pilgrims. The report, presented by Taif Health Cluster CEO Talal Al-Malki, presented the amount and quality of the various health, preventive and awareness services provided to more than 14,000 pilgrims who arrived at the holy sites through the airport and Miqat mosques in Al-Sail Al-Kabir and Wadi Muharram. The governor was also briefed on the Ministry of Health Volunteer Project Sawaed (Hands-on), in which 400 health volunteers work to serve pilgrims. The cluster plan involves bolstering the health services at the holy sites with more than 30 ambulance teams, having more than 1,500 hospital beds and more than 100 intensive care beds ready, and assigning more than 600 health practitioners to work at health facilities at the holy sites, with more than 1,000 health practitioners at the ready for any emergency during the Hajj season.
