Government Hospitals, RCSI discuss cooperation

Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Ansari, received here today the Vice-Chancellor of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), Professor Cathal Kelly, who is on a visit to the kingdom.

They discussed the ongoing cooperation between Bahrain's Government Hospitals and RCSI to upgrade the delivered health services and train medical cadres on providing high-level services.

They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and invest the existing expertise and capabilities to contribute to developing the health system in the kingdom, and build medical competencies in the fields of education, training and scientific research.

Professor Cathal Kelly commended the work of Government Hospitals and its continuous support, which has contributed to developing the educational process at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Bahrain over the past years.

It is worth noting that the Government Hospitals had signed a cooperation agreement with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland earlier this year, to develop national cadres and improve health services, in line with the Kingdom's vision to achieve comprehensive health coverage and provide health services at the highest levels of quality and efficiency.
