GCC Secretary-General Praises Saudi Arabia’s New Development Projects in Yemen

Riyadh-- Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s announcement of a new and important set of development projects to be implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY), worth $400 million, in addition to $200 million to provide oil derivatives to operate power stations, to meet the priority needs of the Yemeni people and alleviate their suffering, which was announced by Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Defense, during a meeting with Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi.

The GCC Secretary-General praised the Kingdom’s great efforts in all aspects of political, development, and relief support through the projects implemented by the SDRPY to help the Yemeni people in all Yemeni governorates, stressing the solidarity of the GCC countries with the Yemeni people and their support for them to achieve their aspirations for stability, peace, security and development in all fields.
