Eight unlicensed manpower agencies and 26 irregular workers referred for legal action

The Labor Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA) conducted a joint inspection campaign in the Capital Governorate, in coordination with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence and the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) of the Ministry of Interior.

The campaign has resulted in the detection of violations related to Labor Market and Residency Laws and Regulations.

The authority said that 26 irregular workers were arrested for violating their work permits and 8 violating manpower agencies were referred for legal action after failing to acquire the necessary licenses.

The LMRA emphasized the need for all enterprises and individuals to comply with the legal procedures set and to acquire the needed licenses from the LMRA to avoid legal accountability.

LMRA urges the public to visit the LMRA website to view the list of Manpower agencies compliant with the laws and regulation that is updated regularly to preserve their rights and for their own safety.

The authority renews its call to all members of the society to support the Kingdom’s efforts in addressing illegal labor practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the Authority’s website or by calling the Authority's call center.
