Day of Arafah’s Electrical Loads Reach 327 Megawatts, Saudi Electricity Company Reports

The Saudi Electricity Company revealed the stability of the electrical service on the day of Arafah, in all holy sites, and no interruptions recorded.

The head of the western sector in the company, the general supervisor of the Hajj plan, Eng. Abdulsalam bin Rashid Al-Omari, explained that the company’s operational plan this year is going successfully, and that the loads recorded yesterday in Arafat area amounted to 327 megawatts.

Al-Omari added that the company seeks to provide an electrical service with a high level of reliability and efficiency for sake of the pilgrims' convenience, stressing that electrical network in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, and the Holy Sites witnessed 46 new projects this year, in the fields of transmission and distribution.
