Cultural Exchange Complements World Fire and Rescue Championship

Riyadh: The organizing committee for the World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport, currently hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, organized a variety of cultural and heritage events for the participating delegations. The championship, which runs from October 26 to November 1, is organized by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, in partnership with the International Sport Federation of Firefighters and Rescuers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the dedicated events featured displays of Saudi cultural heritage. These included exhibits of traditional clothing and handicrafts that represent the diversity of the Kingdom’s regions. Interactive exhibits were set up to showcase the authenticity and social fabric of Saudi society.

This initiative aimed to strengthen cultural ties between the Kingdom and the participating countries, embodying the championship’s broader message of combining the spirit of athletic competition with cultural exchange between nations.
