Islamabad, Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has received a phone call from his Sudanese counterpart Mariam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, during which they discussed the evolving situation in Palestine.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement issued today that the two foreign ministers exchanged views on the role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in forging a united stance supporting the just cause of Palestine and protecting the innocent Palestinians from the indiscriminate and excessive use of force against them.

Islamabad-- The Palestinian President Mahmud Abbas received today a telephone call from the Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

During the call, Khan expressed condemnation of the fatal Israeli airstrikes on Gaza and attacks on innocent worshippers, at the Aqsa Mosque, resulting in numerous deaths among civilians, including children.

He also reaffirmed his country's firm support of the Palestinian people's rights and efforts exerted by Pakistan, at the international level against the Israeli aggression and flagrant violations and international law.

For his part, President Abbas welcomed the Pakistani support for the Palestinian cause, valuing the Pakistani leadership response and its statements condemning Israeli attacks, in Gaza as well as at Al-Aqsa mosque.

In a statement announced here today, Al-Kadhimi denounced in strong words Israeli aggressions on the Palestinian people and rejecting affecting its historical right on its soil.
