FILE OF SMUGGLED DRUGS TO SAUDI ARABIA: PRESIDENT AOUN BRIEFED BY INTERIOR MINISTER ON COURSE OF MEASURES TAKEN AT YESTERDAY’S BAABDA MEETING

As part of his follow-up on ongoing investigations into the file of smuggling of narcotic substances into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, phone called the Interior Minister, Mohamed Fahmy, who informed him of the results of the ongoing investigations and the course of measures taken in the expanded meeting held yesterday at the Presidential Palace.

Minister Fahmy briefed President Aoun on the latest details related to this issue, and the information available to the security apparatuses.

In addition, the Interior Minister also informed President Aoun about a call he had made with the Saudi Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, confirming Lebanon's condemnation of the smuggling operation and everything that affects the KSA’s security, stability and the safety of its people, and briefed him on Lebanese measures, taken in this regard.
