Saudi Arabia Participates in Meetings of 64th Session of UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

Riyadh, Director General of General Directorate Of Narcotics Control Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Qarni headed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s delegation participating in the meetings of the 64th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, being held virtually at the United Nations headquarters in Austria from 12 to 16, April, 2021.
In his speech at the outset of the session, Maj. Gen. Al-Qarni cite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in combating drugs as well as its cooperation with the international partners to limit its spread.
He also pointed to the Kingdom’s commitment to the international treaties and agreements related to drug control, and the importance of organizing and coordinating the international efforts to confront them.
He stressed the importance of strengthening the cooperation of law enforcement authorities from all countries to exchange information on drug smuggling cells and networks.
