Iraq’s Oil Exports to America Increased

Baghdad, The US Energy Information Administration announced, Saturday, that Iraqi oil exports to America rose to 91,000 barrels per day during the past week.

The administration said in a report, that “the average US imports of crude oil during the past week from eight countries amounted to 5.541 million barrels per day, up by 866 thousand barrels per day from the previous week, which amounted to 4.675 million barrels per day.”

It added, “America imported crude oil from Iraq during the past week at a rate of 91 thousand barrels per day after it went down to zero the previous week.”

It pointed out that “most of America’s oil imports during the past week came from Canada at a rate of 3.958 million barrels per day, followed by Mexico, whose imports amounted to 600 thousand barrels per day, then Saudi Arabia with an average amount of 328 thousand barrels per day, and Brazil at 201 thousand barrels per day. “.

It noted that “the amount of US imports of crude oil from Nigeria amounted to 195 thousand barrels per day, and from Ecuador at a rate of 168 thousand barrels per day, while it decreased from Colombia to zero.”

The US Energy Information Administration announced on January 8 that Iraq’s oil exports to America had dropped to zero over the past week.
