Baghdad, Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi met today, Monday, the Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Majid Al-Qasabi and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting discussed the growing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and coordination and cooperation in accordance with the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed between the two countries in the fields of economy, investment and trade exchange, in a way that achieves mutual interests.
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed that the Council supports the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, and everything that activates the wheel of investment and the economy in Iraq and overcoming obstacles, through the necessary legislation to create an attractive investment environment.
For his part, Minister Al-Qasabi expressed the desire of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to maintain communication and cooperation with Iraq in all fields, indicating that the Kingdom will harness all efforts of expertise and capabilities to achieve the results of cooperation on the ground. The Saudi delegation conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Highness, the Crown Prince and the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council to Al-Halbousi, and the Speaker of Parliament in turn send his greetings to the leadership of the Kingdom and its people.
