1815 New Coronavirus Cases Reported, Recoveries over 51,000 Cases, in KSA

Riyadh, The Ministry of Health announced here today that 1815 new confirmed cases of novel Covid-19 pandemic were reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) today, raising the toll to 78,541 confirmed cases, including currently 27,094 active cases undergoing medical treatment, but almost all of these cases are reassuring, however 401 cases are critical.
On the other hand, 2572 new recovery cases have been confirmed, raising the tally to 51,022, according to the ministry’s statement, which added that out of the new confirmed cases today 42 per cent were Saudi nationals and 58 per cent were expatriates, as per the gender 26 per cent were females and 74 per cent were males.
Age-wise of cases, the elders constituted 5 per cent, the children 12 per cent and 83 per cent for the adults.
In terms of death, 425 cases were reported, as new 14 cases were reportedly confirmed, out of them 2 were Saudi nationals, in Makkah and Jeddah and 12 for Non-Saudis in Makkah, Riyadh, Madinah, with their ages ranging from 40 to 73 years old, most of them were experiencing chronic diseases, while the recovery rate soared to 65 per cent and 0.54 per cent for death cases.
Laboratory tests in the Kingdom have made new 15525 new tests (checkups) to raise confirmed laboratory tests for the virus done by now, to 754,268 tests.
The ministry reaffirmed that the responsibility falls on every one shoulder to prevent the spread of the pandemic, through continuing to follow up social distancing rules, evade close-range engagement with the others, till the virus completely done with, drawing attention that partial lifting of precautions, do not mean that the virus has vanished, instead, we have to abide by the rules, in order to guarantee that it will not outbreak, again.
Lesser reported active cases do not mean that the current phase is safe as it is only the stage of committing to sanitary habits to guarantee continuity of reporting cases decrease.
