Cypriot President Receives Deputy Speaker of Saudi Shura Council

Nicosia, President Nikos Anastasiades of the Republic of Cyprus received here today visiting Vice-Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Al-Mutani, on the sidelines of the 13th Conference of Speakers of the Legislative Chambers of European Small Countries.

During the meeting, Nikos Anastasiades, lauded the bilateral relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosqsues King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, praising the results of his recent visit to Saudi Arabia during which a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding in several fields were signed.

The Cypriot President expressed the condemnation of Cyprus of the recent sabotage acts on the Saudi oil facilities, confirming that such terrorist acts threaten the world energy supplies.

The meeting was attented by Saudi Ambassador to Cyprus Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Sharif.
