US Senate unanimously passes funding bill to end government shutdown

Washington, The US Senate unanimously passed a short-term

funding bill to re-open the government until February 15.

The bill now goes to the House of Representatives for approval before heading to President Donald Trump for signing.

The legislation provides funding for three weeks. It does not include money for a wall on the US-Mexico border, which has been Trump's chief demand in the negotiations over the shutdown.
