CID: 14 Iranians with forged Asian passports and fake names arrested

Manama, The Director-General of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science announced on Saturday the arrest of 14 Iranians for entering Bahrain on forged Asian passports with fake names. Their employers have been summoned.

He said that after the initial details were proven correct, an investigation was launched, and the suspects identified and arrested. They turned out to be Iranians who had bought the passports to enter Bahrain coordination with Bahrainis of Iranian origin.

The Director-General said that legal action had been taken against them and their cases referred to the Public Prosecutor.

He asked citizens to verify their employees' identities and documents and, in case of any doubt, contact the nearest police station or call 999.
