Strongest Man Championship’s try-out registration extended

Manama, In implementation of the directives of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and President of Bahrain Athletics Association, the High Organising Committee of the second edition of Bahrain's Strongest Man Championship has extended the try-out registration period to Friday, 31 August.

This was in view of the increasing demand, granting a bigger opportunity for participants to register in this stage of the championship, to be held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid.

The qualifying try-outs will be organised by the Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Seef Mall on 6-8 September, through which participants will qualify for the final competitions, to be held between 21-23 February 2019.

The championship is part of the initiatives launched by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to support Bahraini youth and sports.

The High Organising Committee is preparing to host the event according to schedule, implementing the directives of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to hold the first stage of qualifying try-outs, as well as the final stage in a manner that serves HH's aspirations to make this championship a success, in order to enhance the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the development and advancement of the youth and sports movement, and to motivate and encourage Bahraini youth to practise various sports, promoting the importance of sport in society.

The Media Office of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has opened registration for the championship's qualifying try-outs as well as the supporting activities for adults and children through the website, where 400 participants are registered so far.

There will be many surprises awaiting participants and the public through the championship's official account on Instagram.
