Caretaker Minister of Finance, Ali Hassan Khalil, on Monday met with a delegation of the World Bank, headed by the WB Vice President for Middle East and North Africa, Ferid Belhaj.
"The meeting was very positive. We discussed an array of topics, especially the economic situation in Lebanon, which is critical and requiring reforms," Belhaj told reporters.
He added that talks also touched on the cooperation between the WB and Lebanon.
Commenting on the government formation, Belhaj said "the delay is concerning for every Lebanese citizen and for all Lebanon's allies, especially on the level of economy and reforms."
"But," he continued, "we have confidence following our meetings with the President of the republic, the House Speaker, the Prime Minister, and the Finance Minister."
Separately, Khalil met with a delegation of the General Labor Confederation, chaired by Beshara Asmar.
