6 Billion Dinars Allocated To Complete Basra and Umm Qasr Water Projects

Baghdad, The joint operations room allocated (6) billion dinars to complete Basra and Umm Qasr water projects.

The Technical Agent of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Jaber Abid Khaji said, "Three billion dinars have been allocated for test operating of the Great Basra Water Project, which will be at the end of next August, and complete linking the project to existing pipelines, as well as rehabiliting and implementing projects currently operating within six months.

He added that "(3) billion dinars have been allocated to complete the water project of Umm Qasr by (1000 m 3 / hour) assigned within the allocations of development of regions and assign a company of the Ministry of Construction and Housing to complete it, in addition to the installation of two pumps of (1000 m3 / h) to change the water source of Abu Khasib district and complete deficiencies at the desalination plant of Faw and Sihan regions and install desalination plant (300 m 3) per hour in Bardia project.
