Participants in “Tolerance of Islam” Symposium in Burundi Praise Saudi Arabia for its Interest in Serving Islamic Ummah

Riyadh, Under the patronage of President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza, a symposium on "Tolerance of Islam and Role of Muslims in Maintaining Peace and Security in Great Lakes Region" was concluded in Burundi.

The symposium issued a number of recommendations where the participants praised the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance for its interest and sponsorship of symposiums and conferences that serve the issues of the Islamic Ummah, calling on the ministry to continue sponsoring such symposiums and conferences, taking into account the role of the ministry and its mission to support the Islamic actions around the world.

The symposium was co-organized by the Islamic Society of Burundi, and Saudi Arabia's General Presidency of Ifta in cooperation with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance and Sudan's University of Africa.

It is worth mentioning that Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance for Publications and Scientific Research Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan delivered a key speech at the symposium, on behalf of Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh.
