Dozens Demonstrate In Safwan Border Port

Basra, Dozens Of people of Safwan, south of Basra demonstrated today, demanding to provide services and job opportunities to unemployment youth.

The demonstrators called on the ministerial committee to meet them and listen to their sufferings and demands.

The director of Safwan crossing port, Talib al-Husona told NINA that "the demonstrators did not close the port as their demonstrations are peaceful and their demands are legal.

He added, "we got the list of the demonstrators' demands that concerning electricity, water, and education, and also demand to allocate the port's revenues to reconstruct Safwan district, calling to launch the stopped infrastructure projects in the district.
