Jisr affirms no delay in cabinet formation, says it’s ‘gathering information’ process

MP Samir Jisr said on Friday that the contacts that were conducted by Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, at the beginning of the week with each of Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, the Lebanese Forces, and the Progressive Socialist Party, must resolve obstacles hindering the formation of the government.

Interviewed by the Voice of Lebanon radio station, the lawmaker expressed hope that Hariri's anticipated meeting with the President of the Republic towards the end of the week would be decisive, especially after concluding a full round of contacts with all the political parties.

"There is no delay in the formation of the government; it is only an information gathering process to come out with a certain formula," he added.
