WINGS OF LEBANON: MYKONOS FLIGHT RETURN TO BEIRUT NOT LINKED TO EU LICENSE SUSPENSION

Wings of Lebanon airline clarified in a statement on Thursday, that a minor malfunction during flight WLB4201 to Mykonos was behind its return to Beirut, stressing that the travel back has nothing to do with the suspension of the company's flights to the EU.

"There were no passenger safety dangers, and the return decision is not linked to the EU license suspension," the WOL explained.

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) had suspended Wings of Lebanon's EU license for a lack of "compliance with the applicable requirements" of the European agency's standards.
