Two gangs for drug trafficking and the promotion of counterfeit currency arrested in Kirkuk

BAGHDAD, The Security forces arrested two gangs for drug trafficking and promoting a counterfeit currency in Kirkuk.

Spokesman for the Security Information Center Brigadier Yahya Rasool said in a statement that "the detachments of the National Security apparatus in the province of Kirkuk arrested a gang of three persons accused of trafficking of narcotic pills on the basis of accurate intelligence."

He added that "one of the detachments of the national security apparatus ambushed for a group specialized in the promotion of counterfeit currency and arrested them with the crime; the two gangs were handed over to the judicial authorities to record their statements and take the necessary legal action against them.
